The people of the Sonia Vihar are facing various problems
related to the sanitation and poor drainage.
The drinking water is available but the people collect it from
nearest municipality tap water and not available for 24 hours. The water comes
on the public tap for only 3-6 hours per day. There is no home supply of the
drinking water and most of the people use the boring water that is not safe for
the health.
There is no drainage (sewer system) in the Sonia Vihar.
There are no community toilets and most of the people used the bank of
the river Yamuna as a toilet.
Basic health facilities and water/drainage system are the
poorest problem in the Sonia Vihar.
